Bishkek to host seminar on interethnic relations and peace-building in Central Asia

AKIPRESS.COM - auca Bishkek will hold a seminar on April 18 on interethnic relations and peace-building in Central Asia, the Anthropology Department of the American University of Central Asia reported.

The seminar program's first session will include topics for discussion about the policy and ethnic relations in Central Asia, problems in studying the ethnicity, political factors of interethnic relations, and other.

The 2nd section will touch upon the ethnic conflicts and peace-building in the Ferghana Valley and role of the public in this problem.

The 3rd section on the interethnic relations and identity issues will discuss the ethnic identity of nomads, and other.

The event will be attended by the head of the Anthropology department of American University of Central Asia, AUCA professors, scientists, and others.
