| CA-NEWS (TJ) - Several campaigns of protest against limited supplies of electric energy were held in southern regions of Tajikistan.
According to unofficial data a group of women from Vosei rayon of Khatlon region gathered near regional administration office to protest against limited supplies of electric energy to villages on May 7.
Moreover such protest campaigns were held near office of electrical supply network in Kulob some days earlier.
Electric energy is still supplied only for several hours per day in some rayons of Kulob region, energy holding “Barki tojik” said to CA-News.
Power engineers explain these limits on electric energy supply by low level of water in Tajik rivers.
The energy holding also noted that Uzbekistan imports about 4 million kWh to Tajikistan besides 30 million kWh of electric energy in Tajikistan per day.
