CA-NEWS (TJ) - International Development Association (IDA) grants to Tajikistan a grant of more than U.S. $10 million to provide employment for sustainable agriculture and water management. The aim of the project is the creation of additional jobs for people and the restoration of irrigation and drainage infrastructure in Kabodiyan, Shaartuz, Kumsangir, Vakhsh and Farkhor districts of Khatlon region (south of the country), CA-News was told in the secretariat of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic.
"The main components of the project are the rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage infrastructure and the development of basin water resources management and strengthening capacity to implement public works programs," noted the announcement of the Ministry.
The project will be implemented until December 31, 2011.
