CA-NEWS (KZ) - VII Forum of Kazakhstan-Russia Inter-Regional Cooperation "Sustainable development and high technologies" with participation of presidents Nursultan Nazarbaev and Dmitry Medvedev to be opened on August 6 in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The heads of state are expected to take part in the plenary sitting.

On the first day it is planned to hold a business forum. The main themes will be the development of housing and utilities infrastructure and agro-industrial complex, transport logistics and tourism, science and innovations, nuclear power industry. The business forum is aimed at promoting cooperation in these directions. About 30 agreements on mutual cooperation are planned to be signed.

Along with the business forum and meetings of business and scientific circles of Kazakhstan and Russia it is also planned to hold an international conference on the issues of energy saving technologies in housing and utilities sector and public-private partnership development.

A two-day program of the forum includes cultural and sports events: a friendly hockey match and a theatrical performance "Friendship Festival".
