| CA-NEWS (KZ) - The current mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Japan does not meet existing potential, stated Secretary of State - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabaev and Chairman of Foreign Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of Japan Muneo Suzuki at the meeting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazakhstan.
Muneo Suzuki arrived in Kazakhstan within his familiarizing tour along the CIS countries.
The interlocutors discussed the current sate of bilateral cooperation of the countries and prospective directions of it including interaction within international organizations.
Discussing bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sphere the sides agreed that situation could be improved by a joint commission of governmental and private sectors of both countries on economic cooperation. A regular meeting of the commission is to take place in Japan this autumn.
