CA-NEWS (UZ) - In cooperation with foreign partners Uzbekistan is launching new modern textile factories into operation. This year, over 12 projects on modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises of light industry are implemented. New enterprises will allow to produce 23,000 tonnes of yarn, 7.34 million pairs of hosiery, 5.76 million ready products, Pravda Vostoka reported. Great attention is paid to increasing export supplies, including ready garments. In the first half of 2010, Uzbekistan exported textile goods for US$270.5 million. Large part of light industry's enterprises is working under the Uzbekyengilsanoat (Uzbek Light Industry) state joint stock company. Currently, Uzbekyengilsanoat unites 200 large enterprises and firms, which have branches across Uzbekistan.
