Regular call up of conscripts announced in Turkmenistan

CA-NEWS (TM) - President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed the decree "On transfer to the reserve from the Armed Forces, other troops Turkmenistan of conscripts doing military service, and the call up of Turkmen citizens for military service."

As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat, in accordance with the decree, conscripts who have completed their military service as established by law will be transferred to the reserve from the Armed Forces, other troops of Turkmenistan in October-December 2010. The decree provides for the festive transfer to the reserve of conscripts and awarding soldiers who excelled in military and socio-humanitarian training.

At the same time, male citizens of Turkmenistan over the age of 18, older citizens who are not eligible for postponement of service, and citizens over the age of 17, who voluntarily reported for military service, will be called for military service in October-December 2010.
