| | Kazakhstan expects 25-30 gold medals at Asian Games

| CA-NEWS (KZ) - The Kazakh National Team hopes to win 25-30 gold medals at Asian Winter Games 2011 which is expected to be enough to secure the 1st or 2nd place in team's ranking , Chairman of the Committee of Sports of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan Elsiyar Kanagatov said. According to Kanagatov, the performance of sportsmen from Asian countries in 2009-2010 season are quite tight and the advantage of Kazakh sportsmen that they used to have is difficult to secure.
"However, the dynamics of the performance of the Kazakhstan's team in such sports as skiing, biathlon, freestyle, sports orientation, bandy, hockey demonstrates increasing competitiveness which allows us to hope for good results at the Games," he added.
