| CA-NEWS (KZ) - Rakurs Center for Economic Analyses estimates overall fiscal bailout package of Kazakh Government in 2009 at KZT 2.3 trillion or 15% of GDP in 2009. Anti-Crisis Measures of Kazakh Government are unprecedented in scope on global scale. Most of anti-crisis fund (about 2/3) was used for support of the financial sector, 28% was used for corporate sector, and 13% for population. This is written in Macroeconomic notes, No 1.6., published on the site of the center, dated March 11, 2009. Anti-crisis measures of Kazakhstan for 2009 include a variety of plans and programs, such as “Joint Action Plan of the Government, National Bank and Financial Inspection on stabilization of economy and financial system for 2009-2010” and “Action plan of the Government for 2009 on implementation of President’s address of March 6, 2009” (Road Map). The main instruments of implementation of all anti-crisis measures are state budget, Samruk-Kazyna Fund and KazAgro National Holding. In discussing anti-crisis measures the Government often refers to direct anti-crisis measures implemented by Samruk-Kazyna and KazAgro, but stabilizing anti-crisis fund of the state is significant in terms of influencing economy, Rakurs reported.
