CA-NEWS (KZ) - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Chavushoglu in Akorda today, Kazinform reported.

Mr. Chavushoglu said after the meeting that he thanked the Kazakh leader for the policy of dialogue between religions and cultures conducted in Kazakhstan and establishment of the People's Assembly. He also congratulated the President on Kazakhstan's presidency over the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe and confirmed that the Council of Europe would render support in the course of the chairmanship.

The Chairman also stressed that the Council of Europe supported the initiative of Kazakhstan on holding the OSCE Summit. He expressed hope that Kazakhstan would take active part in the work of the PACE and other international organizations.
