Turkmenistan ready to supply Russia with necessary amount of gas

CA-NEWS (TM) - Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov confirmed readiness of Turkmenistan to provide Russia with necessary amount of gas, reported RIA Novosti with reference to Sergei Lavrov.

He noticed that questions regarding increase of the amount of supply will be decided by companies.

Russian side is represented by Gazprom company. Its agreement with Turkmenistan foresees gas supplies in the amount of 30 billion cubic meters annually. Earlier company purchased 50 billion cubic meters annually. After he talks sides agreed about the renewal of supplies which started on 9 January 2010.

Lavrov noticed that Russia is not against the multiple-vector policy of cooperation of Turkmenistan.
