CA-NEWS (TM) - During his visit to Turkmenistan Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia supports Turkmen initiatives regarding security of pipelines and strengthening of disarmament regime on Caspian Sea and in Central Asia, according to Trend agency with reference to the press service of the Turkmen government.

The idea of international conference regarding disarmament in Central Asian and Caspian regions was initiated by the Turkmen President during the 64 session of the UN Assembly General in 2010.

Moreover, Turkmenistan proposes the idea of creation of the convention for questions of the provision of security of trans-border infrastructure which is used in transportation of energy carriers.
