Heads of the Turkmen and Russian Foreign Ministries Rashid Meredov and Sergei Lavrov signed the program of the cooperation of two Foreign Ministries for 2010. It includes basically all questions of the bilateral cooperation, Lavrov said.

During the talk with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov there were discussed tasks of governments which were reached during the visit of the Turkmen President to Moscow last year, according to Lavrov.

Sides noticed the strategy character of the cooperation and gradual development of connection.

There were also discussed the development of the Caspian Sea cooperation, situation in Afghanistan, cooperation in the UNO, according to Lavrov. Russia and Turkmenistan support common initiatives concerning security and intensification of the cooperation in sphere of energy and other question within the framework of the UNO.

According to Lavrov, sides also discussed the cooperation in spheres of education and science, reported ITAR-TASS.
