The volume of the GDP in Tajikistan increased 6% and totaled 2.4 billion somoni ($550 million) in January-February 2010 in comparison to the same period of the previous year.

According to the Tajik State Statistics Agency, approximately 56% of the GDP falls at the production of service, 31.3% at production of goods and 12.8% to taxes.

The volume of the production of the industrial production increased 15% in comparison to the same period of the previous year. It totaled 1.15 billion somoni ($263.1 million)

The Agency noticed that 39.3% of 816 industrial enterprises were non-working.
