CA-NEWS (KZ) - The volume of oil extraction increased 9.5% in Kazakhstan in February 2010 as compared to the corresponding period in 2009, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.

5.239 million tons of raw oil was extracted in the reporting period. The volume of extracted gas condensate constituted 992 thousand tons increasing 6% in February 2010.

Kazakhstan plans to increase oil extraction 4.6% to 80 million tons per year in 2010.

Also, the republic intends to increase export supplies of oil by 8%.
