Fund Forum of Uzbekistan to cooperate with Nagoya University

CA-NEWS (UZ) - Fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum on Cooperation with one of the leading universities of Japan - Nagoya University on March 10.

Partnership supposes mutual support in realization of educational projects in Japan and Uzbekistan, the press service of the Fund reported. This was the first memorandum signed between the Fund Forum and world's leading university. Nagoya University is famous for its alumni, four of which became Nobel Prize winners.

Upon starting cooperation with the Japanese university the Fund Forum plans to provide assistance in expansion of cooperation and mutual exchanges in the sphere of education between Japan and Uzbekistan. Japanese Government has started realization of the program on activation of international relations of leading Japanese universities in 2009.

Uzbekistan became one of seven countries chosen by Japanese Government for opening branches of Japanese universities and admission of students from the region, and holding educational projects, presentations, exhibitions, and conferences. The branch of Nagoya University opened in Tashkent on March 11.
