Uzbekistan builds power transmission line bypassing territories of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

CA-NEWS (UZ) - Uzbekistan has constructed 500 kW high-voltage line between Novo-Angrenskaya Combined Heat and Power Plant and Fergana Valley, Pravda Vostoka newspaper reported.

Construction of the power line with substation allowed to provide uninterrupted power supply to Fergana Valley and south of Uzbekistan. The line was built to bypass Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

High-voltage power line was constructed in difficult mountain conditions at the point of 2,500 m above sea level. The specialists carried out drilling-and-blasting works at rocky soils, lay roads, etc, edition reported.

The line was built within the cooperation of various industries. The cable plants produced 2,500 tonnes of wires, construction enterprises supplied 10,000 units of ferroconcrete items, etc.
