CA-NEWS (UZ) - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Tsutomu Hiraoka signed grant contracts on six projects with a total value of US $457 679 in frames of the grant aid program of Japanese Government to social projects on March 9 in Tashkent. Grant beneficiaries are secondary schools of Andijan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Syrdarya regions. Schools will be equipped with furniture, sport inventory, computer technologies, and other necessary devices. Japanese Government is realizing the grant aid program since 1995. Almost 160 grants have been allocated to Uzbekistan to this day.
