CA-NEWS (TM) - The international conference "Turkmenistan-Western Influence: energy interests and political consequences" took place on March 5 in Vienna. In the conference took part specialists from Europe, Russia and Turkmenistan, according to Gundogar agency.

The conference was organized by the Eurasian Transition Group. There were discussed questions related to t problems of internal development of Turkmenistan, strategies of the EU, the USA and the OSCE in this country. They also discussed questions regarding the diversification of gas supplies to European Countries and perspectives of the Nabucco project.

During the conference there were presented reports of the vice President of the International Crisis Group, the observer of the "Time of Mews" newspaper, chair of the republican Party of Turkmenistan, Coordinator of the Joint Eurasian Expert Network and the head of the Nabucco press service.
