CA-NEWS (CA) - The regional representation of the International Red Cross Committee in Central Asia announced the competition for journalists of print, electronic and broadcasting mass media from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for the best materials concerning the humanitarian activities in Central Asia and role of the International Red Cross Committee and Red Crescent in response to humanitarian challenges of modernity.

According to the representation of the Red Cross Committee in Tajikistan, for the participation in the competition it is necessary to one or several text, photo, radio or TV material concerning the humanitarian activity in the beginning of 21 century, principles of the International movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, implementation of the international humanitarian law, spread of knowledge about international humanitarian law etc.

There will be accepted the materials which were published in the period from January1 until 18 June 2010. The deadline for the submission of documents is June 30.
